- 500g ground beef
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 4 burger buns
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 4 slices of beetroot
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 cup lettuce
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp barbecue sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt and pepper.
- Form the mixture into 4 patties.
- Grill the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your liking.
- During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.
- Toast the burger buns on the grill until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers by spreading mayonnaise on the bottom bun, followed by the patty, beetroot, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and sauces.
- Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
Notes
- Feel free to customize the toppings to your preference.
- For a spicier kick, add jalapeños or hot sauce.
- These burgers can also be made with chicken or lamb for a different flavor.
