Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g ground beef
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices of beetroot
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 cup lettuce
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 1 tbsp barbecue sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt and pepper.
  3. Form the mixture into 4 patties.
  4. Grill the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your liking.
  5. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.
  6. Toast the burger buns on the grill until golden brown.
  7. Assemble the burgers by spreading mayonnaise on the bottom bun, followed by the patty, beetroot, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and sauces.
  8. Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Feel free to customize the toppings to your preference.
  • For a spicier kick, add jalapeños or hot sauce.
  • These burgers can also be made with chicken or lamb for a different flavor.
