Description
A delicious and festive Sweet Potato & Cranberry Gratin that combines the sweetness of sweet potatoes with the tartness of cranberries, perfect for holiday gatherings.

- 2 pounds sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced sweet potatoes, cranberries, heavy cream, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
- Layer half of the sweet potato mixture in a greased baking dish.
- Sprinkle half of the cheddar cheese over the first layer.
- Add the remaining sweet potato mixture on top.
- Top with the remaining cheddar cheese.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
Notes
- For a vegan version, substitute heavy cream with coconut cream and cheese with a dairy-free alternative.
- Can be prepared a day in advance and baked before serving.
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar based on your preference.
