- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped dried plums (or prunes)
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and ground cinnamon.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped dried plums.
- Roll the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Flatten each ball slightly with the bottom of a glass.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For a festive touch, sprinkle with additional powdered sugar before serving.
- Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
