Description

A delicious and hearty seafood soup served in a warm, crusty bread bowl, perfect for a cozy meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 large bread bowl
  • 2 cups seafood mix (shrimp, crab, and scallops)
  • 4 cups seafood stock
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large pot, sauté the onion and garlic until translucent.
  3. Add the seafood mix and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Stir in the diced tomatoes and Old Bay seasoning.
  5. Pour in the seafood stock and bring to a simmer.
  6. Reduce heat and stir in the heavy cream, cooking for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Hollow out the bread bowl, leaving a thick wall.
  9. Fill the bread bowl with the seafood soup.
  10. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes until the bread is warm and slightly crispy.
  11. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Feel free to use any combination of seafood you prefer.
  • For a spicier kick, add some red pepper flakes.
  • This recipe can be made ahead of time and reheated before serving.
