Description

Delicious and unique Strawberry Pretzel Marshmallow Treats that combine sweet and salty flavors for a delightful dessert.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 package (3 oz) strawberry gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix crushed pretzels, melted butter, and granulated sugar until combined.
  3. Press the pretzel mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish and bake for 10 minutes.
  4. In another bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  5. Fold in the whipped topping until well combined.
  6. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled pretzel crust.
  7. In a separate bowl, dissolve strawberry gelatin in boiling water.
  8. Add sliced strawberries to the gelatin mixture and let it cool slightly.
  9. Pour the strawberry mixture over the cream cheese layer and refrigerate until set, about 4 hours.
  10. Cut into squares and serve chilled.

Notes

  • Make sure the pretzel crust is completely cooled before adding the cream cheese layer.
  • For a more intense strawberry flavor, use fresh strawberries instead of frozen.
  • This dessert can be made a day in advance for convenience.
