- 2 cups strawberries, sliced
- 2 cups apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine strawberries, apples, sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well and set aside.
- In another bowl, mix melted butter, flour, baking powder, and milk until smooth.
- Pour half of the batter into a greased baking dish.
- Spread the fruit mixture over the batter.
- Pour the remaining batter over the fruit.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with ice cream for an extra treat.
- Can substitute other fruits based on preference.
