Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix the flour and butter until crumbly, then add cold water to form a dough.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- In a skillet, sauté the onion until translucent, then add the minced meat and spices, cooking until browned.
- Roll out the dough and cut into circles to form the pie bases and lids.
- Fill the bases with the meat mixture and cover with the lids, sealing the edges.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, you can add herbs like thyme or rosemary to the meat mixture.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or peas for a traditional meal.
- These pies can be made in advance and frozen before baking.
