Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, sift together almond flour and powdered sugar.
- In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until foamy, then gradually add granulated sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Fold the almond flour mixture into the egg whites gently.
- Divide the batter into two bowls, tint one red and leave the other white.
- Pipe Santa faces onto the prepared baking sheet using a round piping tip.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, then let cool completely.
- For the filling, beat softened butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy.
- Pipe the filling onto the flat side of half the macarons and sandwich with the other half.
- Decorate with mini chocolate chips for eyes and red candy for the nose.
