Description

A delicious and unique twist on traditional lasagna, featuring layers of tender chicken, creamy cheese, and aromatic rosemary.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/4 cup fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, egg, chopped rosemary, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  5. Layer 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce, followed by half of the ricotta mixture, half of the shredded chicken, and a third of the mozzarella cheese.
  6. Repeat the layers, finishing with a final layer of noodles, marinara sauce, and the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Let it cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, substitute chicken with sautéed vegetables.
  • Can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
  • Garnish with additional fresh rosemary before serving for added flavor.
