Description

Delicious roasted cabbage steaks featuring crispy edges and tender centers, perfect as a side dish or main course.


Ingredients

  • 1 head of green cabbage
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: garlic powder, smoked paprika, Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice the cabbage into thick steaks, about 1 inch thick.
  3. Brush both sides of the cabbage steaks with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Place the steaks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, arranged in a single layer.
  5. Roast in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden.
  6. If desired, sprinkle with optional toppings before serving.

Notes

Make-ahead: Slice and store cabbage steaks drizzled with olive oil up to a day before. To reheat, use an oven or air fryer for crunch.
