Description

A festive and indulgent dessert that combines the rich flavors of red velvet cake with creamy layers, perfect for holiday celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 1 box red velvet cake mix
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the red velvet cake mix, vegetable oil, eggs, and water until well combined.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Allow the cake to cool completely.
  5. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  6. Fold in the whipped topping until well combined.
  7. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk and instant vanilla pudding mix until thickened.
  8. Layer the cooled red velvet cake with the cream cheese mixture and pudding mixture in a trifle dish or serving dish.
  9. Top with crushed peppermint candies if desired.
  10. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
