Description

A flavorful and succulent Peruvian chicken dish served with a vibrant green sauce, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup fresh cilantro
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded
  • Juice of 1 lime

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix olive oil, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Coat the chicken breasts with the spice mixture.
  4. Place the chicken on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes or until cooked through.
  5. While the chicken is baking, prepare the green sauce by blending cilantro, mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, garlic, jalapeño, and lime juice until smooth.
  6. Once the chicken is done, let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  7. Serve the chicken with the green sauce drizzled on top or on the side.

Notes

  • For a spicier sauce, leave some seeds in the jalapeño.
  • This dish pairs well with rice or a fresh salad.
