A delightful breakfast casserole that combines the flavors of pecan pie and French toast, perfect for a special occasion or holiday brunch.

			- 1 loaf of French bread, cubed
 - 6 large eggs
 - 2 cups milk
 - 1 cup heavy cream
 - 1 cup brown sugar
 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
 - 1 cup chopped pecans
 - 1/2 cup maple syrup
 - Butter for greasing the baking dish
 
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter.
 - In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon.
 - Add the cubed French bread to the egg mixture and gently fold until the bread is well coated.
 - Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle the chopped pecans on top.
 - Drizzle maple syrup over the top of the casserole.
 - Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
 - Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
 
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use brioche or challah bread instead of French bread.
 - This casserole can be prepared the night before and stored in the refrigerator. Just bake it in the morning.
 - Serve with additional maple syrup or whipped cream if desired.
