Description

Oven Fried Feta Rolls with Chili Honey is a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that combines crispy pastry with creamy feta cheese and a sweet and spicy honey drizzle.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz feta cheese
  • 1 package of phyllo dough
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 12 teaspoons chili flakes (to taste)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, crumble the feta cheese and mix with salt, pepper, and chili flakes.
  3. Lay out a sheet of phyllo dough and brush with olive oil.
  4. Place a spoonful of the feta mixture at one end of the phyllo sheet and roll it up tightly.
  5. Repeat with the remaining phyllo sheets and feta mixture.
  6. Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Brush the tops with more olive oil.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  9. While the rolls are baking, heat honey in a small saucepan and stir in chili flakes.
  10. Drizzle the chili honey over the baked feta rolls before serving.

Notes

  • Make sure to keep the phyllo dough covered with a damp cloth while working to prevent it from drying out.
  • Adjust the amount of chili flakes based on your spice preference.
  • These rolls can be served warm or at room temperature.
