Ingredients

- 2 cups of oranges, peeled and chopped
- 1 cup of lemons, peeled and chopped
- 4 cups of water
- 5 cups of sugar
- 1/4 cup of chopped ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon of cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine the chopped oranges, lemons, and water. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for about 1 hour, or until the fruit is soft.
- Add the sugar, ginger, and spices to the pot. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- Increase the heat and bring the mixture to a rolling boil. Cook for about 20-30 minutes, or until it reaches the desired consistency.
- Test the marmalade by placing a spoonful on a cold plate; if it sets, it’s ready.
- Pour the hot marmalade into sterilized jars and seal immediately.

- Ensure jars are sterilized to prevent spoilage.
- Adjust the spices according to your taste preference.
- This marmalade can be stored in a cool, dark place for up to a year.
