- 2 cloves Minced Garlic
- 8 ounces Cream Cheese (Softened)
- 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese (Main flavor component)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion, stirring until translucent—about 4-5 minutes.
- Toss in the minced garlic, stirring for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Incorporate the smoked sausage into the pan and cook for about 5-7 minutes or until nicely browned.
- Blend the cream cheese, heavy whipping cream, and half a cup of shredded cheddar in a mixing bowl until smooth and creamy.
- Add the lightly steamed broccoli and cauliflower to the skillet. Pour the creamy cheese mixture over the vegetables and sausage, folding gently.
- Pour the mixture into a baking dish, smoothing it out evenly. Top with remaining shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbling and golden.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Make the casserole up to a day in advance, store in the refrigerator, and bake when ready. You can also use an air fryer as a quicker method.
