Description

A low-carb, gluten-free twist on taco night, this crustless taco pie features savory beef, creamy cheese, and a tantalizing blend of spices.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Beef (80/20)
  • 3 T Taco Seasoning
  • 2/3 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 4 Large Eggs
  • 1/3 cup Chunky Salsa
  • 1 1/4 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Black Pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9-inch pie pan.
  2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet until fully cooked, then drain excess grease.
  3. Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the cooked meat and stir well.
  4. Transfer the seasoned beef to the prepared pie pan.
  5. Whisk together the heavy cream and eggs in a mixing bowl, then mix in the salsa, 1 cup of cheese, garlic salt, and black pepper.
  6. Pour this mixture over the beef in the pie pan and top with the remaining cheese.
  7. Bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes until golden and set.
  8. Cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serve with toppings like sour cream.
