Description

A delicious and tender beef chuck roast cooked in a sweet and tangy honey balsamic sauce, perfect for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 34 lbs beef chuck roast
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the beef chuck roast with salt and pepper.
  2. In a bowl, mix together honey, balsamic vinegar, beef broth, soy sauce, garlic, and thyme.
  3. Place the sliced onion at the bottom of the crockpot.
  4. Put the seasoned beef roast on top of the onions.
  5. Pour the honey balsamic mixture over the roast.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours, until the beef is tender.
  7. Once cooked, shred the beef and mix it with the sauce before serving.

Notes

  • Serve with mashed potatoes or over rice for a complete meal.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • This dish can also be frozen for later use.
