Description

A delightful and indulgent cake featuring layers of cookies and cream flavor, perfect for any celebration.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies
  • Additional Oreo cookies for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil. Mix until well combined.
  3. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. While the cakes are cooling, whip the heavy cream in a mixing bowl until soft peaks form.
  5. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract to the whipped cream and continue to whip until stiff peaks form.
  6. Gently fold in the crushed Oreo cookies into the whipped cream mixture.
  7. Once the cakes are completely cooled, place one layer on a serving plate and spread a layer of the cookies and cream mixture on top.
  8. Place the second cake layer on top and frost the top and sides with the remaining cookies and cream mixture.
  9. Decorate with additional Oreo cookies on top.
  10. Chill the cake in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, you can add chocolate ganache between the layers.
  • This cake can be made a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
  • Feel free to use gluten-free cake mix for a gluten-free version.
