Description

Chocolate Mint Crinkle Cookies are a delightful treat that combines rich chocolate flavor with a refreshing mint twist, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar for coating

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix granulated sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter until well combined.
  4. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and peppermint extract to the sugar mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
  6. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
  7. Once chilled, scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls.
  8. Roll each ball in powdered sugar until fully coated.
  9. Place the coated balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  10. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the tops are crinkled.
  11. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
