Description

Cherry–Lime Chili Spark Jam is a vibrant and zesty jam that combines the sweetness of cherries with the tanginess of lime and a hint of chili for a unique flavor experience.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh cherries, pitted
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 12 teaspoons chili flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 package (1.75 oz) fruit pectin

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine the pitted cherries, lime juice, and water. Cook over medium heat until the cherries are soft.
  2. Add the sugar and chili flakes, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil and add the fruit pectin, stirring constantly.
  4. Continue to boil for 1-2 minutes until the mixture thickens.
  5. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before pouring into sterilized jars.
  6. Seal the jars and let them cool completely before storing in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of chili flakes based on your spice preference.
  • This jam pairs well with cream cheese on crackers or as a topping for desserts.
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
