Description

A delicious and hearty cheesesteak-stuffed garlic loaf that combines the flavors of a classic cheesesteak with the irresistible taste of garlic bread.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large loaf of Italian bread
  • 1 lb ribeye steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 cup onions, sliced
  • 2 cups provolone cheese, shredded
  • 4 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the onions and bell peppers, cooking until softened.
  3. Add the sliced ribeye steak to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
  4. Slice the Italian bread in half lengthwise and scoop out some of the insides to create space for the filling.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the remaining butter with minced garlic and spread it on the cut sides of the bread.
  6. Fill the bread with the steak and vegetable mixture, then top with shredded provolone cheese.
  7. Wrap the stuffed loaf in aluminum foil and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add some hot sauce or Worcestershire sauce to the steak mixture.
  • Feel free to customize the vegetables based on your preference.
  • This dish can be made ahead of time and baked just before serving.
