Description

Baked Ziti is a classic Italian-American dish that combines pasta, marinara sauce, and cheese for a comforting and flavorful meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ziti pasta
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the cooked ziti with marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Transfer half of the ziti mixture to a baking dish and sprinkle with half of the mozzarella cheese.
  5. Add the remaining ziti mixture on top and finish with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add cooked ground beef or sausage to the ziti mixture.
