- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup fresh asparagus, trimmed
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix the asparagus and mozzarella cheese together.
- Cut a pocket in each chicken breast and stuff with the asparagus and mozzarella mixture.
- Season the chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear the chicken breasts for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer the chicken to a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, marinate the chicken in olive oil and herbs for a few hours before cooking.
