Ingredients

- 4 cups of chopped apples
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/4 cup of fresh thyme leaves
- 1/4 cup of lemon juice
- 1/2 cup of water
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine the chopped apples, sugar, lemon juice, and water.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 20 minutes, or until the apples are soft.
- Add the fresh thyme leaves and stir well.
- Continue to cook for another 10 minutes, or until the mixture thickens to your desired consistency.
- Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before transferring to sterilized jars.
- Seal the jars and store in the refrigerator.
Notes
- For a smoother jam, blend the mixture before adding thyme.
- Adjust the sugar according to the sweetness of the apples used.
- This jam pairs well with cheese and can be used in desserts.
