Description

A delightful and unique jam made with fresh apples and thyme, perfect for spreading on toast or pairing with cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups of chopped apples
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 cup of fresh thyme leaves
  • 1/4 cup of lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup of water

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine the chopped apples, sugar, lemon juice, and water.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently.
  3. Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 20 minutes, or until the apples are soft.
  4. Add the fresh thyme leaves and stir well.
  5. Continue to cook for another 10 minutes, or until the mixture thickens to your desired consistency.
  6. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before transferring to sterilized jars.
  7. Seal the jars and store in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • For a smoother jam, blend the mixture before adding thyme.
  • Adjust the sugar according to the sweetness of the apples used.
  • This jam pairs well with cheese and can be used in desserts.
